In 1951, the Drill Hall was abandoned and alternative locations such as Railway Terrace and the junction of Military Road and Sefton Street were examined. In August of 1951, the Club was granted a long-term lease by the Port Adelaide Council for two blocks of land located adjacent to the Largs North railway station. The planning and implementation of a major fundraising campaign for the construction of a new Hall took place in the beginning of 1952. As a means of raising funds in September 1952, the club requested contributions of 5 shillings from both local community members and businesses to procure Mt Gambier stone intended for the construction of the new Hall. The Memorial Hall received additional funding from the Ford Motor Company in December 1952, with a generous contribution of £50. A service of dedication was conducted on July 19, 1953, for the Sub-Branch located at Carnarvon Terrace Largs North. The new building was then inaugurated on July 24, 1953. Regrettably, the structure was destroyed by malicious individuals through arson on the 5th of September 1977. On the 28th of February 1978, a fresh Charter was released.
By the end of May 1979 the new building was completed and on 2nd June 1979 the official opening for the new Club Rooms was held.
